Renovations Begin at the Center
Renovations starting with floors, security system, new equipment for the community residents and more, begin being installed throughout the year.

After School Programming Starts
Local elementary and middle schools in the Greenmount West school begin coming to the center after school for programming, snacks and assistance with homework
April 2017
1st Easter Egg Hunt for GWCC Youth
Kids and parents come out for an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt at the Community Center, accompanied with face painting and games.
Running Club Shoe Fundraiser is a Success!
Kimberly Jones, a member of the Greenmount West community, helped raise over $1000 for over 20+ GWCC Youth to participate in running club
Adult Programming Starts at the Center
First – youth programming, now programming for adults and seniors begins. Activities such as Cake + Conversation, Bingo and other games to entertain

Noisy Tenants, a local business in the community that helps create microbusinesses for youth, donated money to GWCC programming initiatives

First Summer Camp Programming Starts
GWCC Summer Camp opens for elementary and middle school youth enrolling over 25 kids, and employing 12 youth workers.
Camerados Visits — from the UK to Baltimore
Camerados is a community initiative that sponsors public living rooms to communal spaces. The mission is to encourage people to help each other, have discussions, and share in an open forum.
Youth take trip to Hershey Park
Everyone loves amusement parks, from roller coasters to water rides the youth enjoy a summer day playing games and taking rides

BMA + Mark Bradford Partner with GWCC
World-renowned artist Mark Bradford comes to Baltimore to announce his exhibition with Baltimore Museum of Art, and partners with GWCC to assist with outfitting the center with equipment for sustainable programming and art commerce

GWCC Completes Community Cleanup w/ Youth + Partners
Community cleanup occurs in Greenmount West neighborhood to provide community service opportunities to youth and allows youth to aid in keeping the community safe + clean for everyone.

GWCC youth and community members enjoy a wonderful day celebrating the winter holiday with a visit from Santa, along with cookies + milk + activities

GWCC Reveals their Silkscreening Social Enterprise
After working with their partners, countless hours of volunteering and programming, the GWCC Youth are excited to start working with their new equipment to make and sell items for Art + Commerce
